I can recall three incidents thus far. My DVD player will turn on by itself which turns on my TV and can be a bit alarming to be woke up by. I have owned this player for over 18 months. All in all a nice player for the money. I haven't had any problems or issues except for one. I guess next time I need to do some more research.
DVD Player works great & plays almost any format I put in it. A little shaky on some DVD-RW's but overall works very well.
I sold one of each which I bought to upgrade and kept this one. Wish I could say the same for the two later models and their unhandy, unresponsive remotes. This model has more flexibility, loads faster and has a sharper picture than either of the P8 or P9 models. Now a blue-ray gift has caused me to sell my old standby which never had a glitch in the remote, nor a skip, nor a hang-up.
I have had no problems playing any dvd's. This is probably one of the best dvd players i have owned. This is really a nice dvd player. Very user friendly.
It worked fine and was pleased with it until it started freezing dvds. My next purchase will be a panasonic or sony. Bought this DVD player back in October 2007 so it's about a year and a half old. I use it occasionally and it is kept in a cabinet so I really don't think that a dvd player that is 1.5 years old should break.
